READ SOME
VERSES IN THE BIBLE:
To Refresh Your Memory About The Word of GOD.
James 1:1-27
1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus
Christ,
To the twelve
tribes scattered among the nations:
Greetings.
Trials and Temptations
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you
face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faithproduces
perseverance. 4 Let
perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not
lacking anything. 5 If any
of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all
without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not
doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and
tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from
the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in
all they do.
9 Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in
their high position. 10 But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since
they will pass away like a wild flower. 11 For the sun rises with scorching heatand withers the
plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the
rich will fade away even while they go about their business.
12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under
trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown
of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.”
For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by
their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to
sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
16 Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming
down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like
shifting shadows. 18 He
chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a
kind of firstfruits of all he created.
Listening and Doing
19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this:
Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become
angry, 20 because human anger does not produce the
righteousness that God desires.21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil
that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can
save you.
22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive
yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it
says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately
forgets what he looks like. 25 But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that
gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard,
but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
26 Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not
keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion
is worthless.
27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and
faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress
and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
SANTIAGO 1:1-27
mangahulog sa sarisaring tukso;
7 Sapagka't huwag isipin ng taong yaon na siya'y tatanggap ng anoman bagay sa Panginoon;
7 Sapagka't huwag isipin ng taong yaon na siya'y tatanggap ng anoman bagay sa Panginoon;
pagkagalit;

READING SOME VERSES IN THE BIBLE:
Deuteronomy
13:1-11
Worshiping
Other Gods
1 [a]If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams,
appears among you and announces to you a sign or wonder, 2 and if the sign or
wonder spoken of takes place, and the prophet says, “Let us follow other gods”
(gods you have not known) “and let us worship them,” 3 you must not listen to
the words of that prophet or dreamer. The Lord your God is testing you to find
out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 It is
the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands
and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. 5 That prophet or dreamer must be
put to death for inciting rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you
out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. That prophet or dreamer
tried to turn you from the way the Lord your God commanded you to follow. You
must purge the evil from among you.
6 If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or
the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, “Let us
go and worship other gods” (gods that neither you nor your ancestors have
known, 7 gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of
the land to the other), 8 do not yield to them or listen to them. Show them no
pity. Do not spare them or shield them. 9 You must certainly put them to death.
Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all
the people. 10 Stone them to death, because they tried to turn you away from
the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 11
Then all Israel will hear and be afraid, and no one among you will do such an
evil thing again.

Follow
the Lord’s Commands
16 The Lord your God commands you this day to follow
these decrees and laws; carefully observe them with all your heart and with all
your soul. 17 You have declared this day that the Lord is your God and that you
will walk in obedience to him, that you will keep his decrees, commands and
laws—that you will listen to him. 18 And the Lord has declared this day that
you are his people, his treasured possession as he promised, and that you are
to keep all his commands. 19 He has declared that he will set you in praise,
fame and honor high above all the nations he has made and that you will be a
people holy to the Lord your God, as he promised.
16 Saarawnaito ay iniuutossaiyo ng Panginoonmong Dios,

Curses
for Disobedience
36 The Lord will drive you and the king you set over you
to a nation unknown to you or your ancestors. There you will worship other
gods, gods of wood and stone. 37 You will become a thing of horror, a byword
and an object of ridicule among all the peoples where the Lord will drive you.
36 Dadalhinka ng Panginoon, at angiyong haring
ilalagaymosaiyo, saisangbansanghindimonakilala, ninyo ng iyongmgamagulang at

37 At ikaw ay magigingisangkamanghaan, isangkawikaan, at
isangkabiruansalahat ng bayangpagdadalhansaiyo ng Panginoon.
45 All these curses will come on you. They will pursue
you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the Lord
your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you. 46 They will be a
sign and a wonder to you and your descendants forever. 47 Because you did not
serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity, 48
therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve
the enemies the Lord sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck
until he has destroyed you.
45 At lahat ng mgasumpangito ay daratingsaiyo at

58 If you do not carefully follow all the words of this
law, which are written in this book, and do not revere this glorious and
awesome name—the Lord your God— 59 the Lord will send fearful plagues on you
and your descendants, harsh and prolonged disasters, and severe and lingering
illnesses. 60 He will bring on you all the diseases of Egypt that you dreaded,
and they will cling to you. 61 The Lord will also bring on you every kind of
sickness and disaster not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are
destroyed. 62 You who were as numerous as the stars in the sky will be left but
few in number, because you did not obey the Lord your God. 63 Just as it
pleased the Lord to make you prosper and increase in number, so it will please
him to ruin and destroy you. You will be uprooted from the land you are
entering to possess.

15:15-17
15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does
not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for
everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed
you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that
whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
17 This is my command: Love each other.
15 Hindi kona kayo tatawagingmgaalipin;

Revelation
9:20-21
20 The rest of mankind who were not killed by these
plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop

1:18-27
God’s
Wrath Against Sinful Humanity
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against
all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their
wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God
has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s
invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen,
being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him
as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their
foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became
fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look
like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of
their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one
another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and
served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts.
Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In
the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were
inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men,
and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
18 Sapagka'tangpoot ng Dios ay

5 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant
heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath,
when his righteous judgment will be revealed. 6 God “will repay each person
according to what they have done.”[a] 7 To those who by persistence in doing
good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. 8 But for
those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will
be wrath and anger. 9 There will be trouble and distress for every human being
who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; 10 but glory, honor and
peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 11
For God does not show favoritism.

Corinthians 6:9-11
9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the
kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters
nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men[a] 10 nor thieves nor the greedy
nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11
And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified,
you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of
our God.
9 O hindibaganinyonalalamannaangmgaliko ay

11 At ganyanangmgailansainyo: nguni'tnangahugasanna kayo,

PanginoongJesucristo, at sa Espiritu ng ating Dios.
